the morning after a rain storm and a much needed girls night out.

Last night we had a pretty good storm go through and it knocked down a lot of my roses. I went out and gathered them and totally took the idea of using a vintage thermos from a beautiful mess. I found the thermos last summer at an antique store.

Last night I also was very spoiled/blessed by a friend who not only took me out to supper for my upcoming birthday, at Panera, but also surprised me with some plucky knitter yarn, the cutest hand made tags and bag, plus a book on the way. Photos of tags, bag and yarn to come soon.

I don't think I realized how much I needed a break. I love my family and I am really a homebody. However, when I arrived home-happy to be back-I realized how important having girl grown-up is, and how much I had enjoyed my break. Going in a yarn store with someone that loves it as much as I do? Pretty fun.
