day 22

 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of the truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him, with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit of guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory. - Ephesians 1: 13

worshipping in the waiting

What if someone we love hasn't yet believed in Christ, and is walking down a road that only takes them further away? What if we aren't sure they made a decision, they prayed a prayer, but from the fruit (or lack of) in their lives, maybe there wasn't true belief? 

I don’t have the answer, but I do know that this morning, I will believe and hope that they did choose, or will choose... that because we have relationship with them, and they have seen and experienced God's love (imperfect as it is) through us, they were chosen in him, they were predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:11-12)  And paraphrasing a quote I heard from Marie-Elsa Bragg, "when I don't have hope, I hope for hope."

If you are in the waiting right now, are you worshipping? Will you worship now, believing and hoping in his promises? 

That no man, or thing can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39)
