knitting for the joy of it.

When I want to relax, I'm not really a bubble bath kind of gal. I don't live near the city, so going somewhere for coffee and dessert is an option about once a year, and since sitting still only seems to work me up, watching a movie is seldom calming.  I think that is why I love knitting so much. Once I learned to knit, and became proficient at it, I found that watching something take shape on my needles is not only relaxing, but something that I do that actually does not have to be re-done (most of the time).

Most of the time, I work on practical projects, sometimes items for the shop (which seems pretty much impossible to "fill"), baby gifts and items for friends and family are constants. However, sometimes the urge to indulge myself include yarn and a pattern that are not practical - this spring it includes some sparrow and Emma. I write spring, however it may end up late summer - no matter - that will do.

  1. I can't wait to see your "emma". You are so talented , I won't dare to try to make something that delicate. Linen yarn looks wonderful! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
